SELFIES IDOL PILOT CONTEST
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE FOR SUBMISSIONS.
CONTEST OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES (EXCLUDING RHODE ISLAND, PUERTO RICO, THE U.S VIRGIN ISLANDS, AND TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS). CONTEST IS ALSO VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ENTRANTS MUST BE 13 YEARS OR OLDER.
I. ACCEPTANCE OF RULES
Selfies Idol LLC is the sponsor of the Selfies Idol Pilot Contest. By entering the Selfies Idol Pilot Contest (“the Contest") and accepting the terms herein, the contestant/s (“Entrant/s”) agree to be bound by the rules outlined below. ("Official Rules"). The official rules outlined constitute a binding agreement between the contestant and Selfies Idol LLC (“Sponsor), and any websites and companies, hosting and promoting the Contest, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their agents, officers, directors, shareholders, employees, representatives, and agents (“Contest Entities”). These Official Rules apply only to the Contest and do not apply to any other contest sponsored by Selfies Idol LLC.
II. ELIGIBILITY
This Contest is open only to legal residents of the United States (excluding Rhode Island, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and other commonwealths, territories and possessions), and VOID WHERE PROHIBITED by LAW. ENTRANTS MUST BE AT LEAST 13 YEARS OLD BY NOVEMBER 29, 2015 (THE START DATE OF THE CONTEST). If you are under the legal age of majority in your resident state (a "Minor"), a parent or legal guardian must submit a signed, written statement that they have read, understood and agree to these Contest rules with your entry, and that such agreement constitutes acceptance of these Contest rules on behalf of you and themselves. Parental consent should be submitted to siteam@selfiesidol.com with the term “PARENTAL CONSENT” in the subject line. Employees of Selfies Idol, LLC, and their immediate families (spouses, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses), including household members of Contest Entities are not eligible to enter. VOID IN RHODE ISLAND, PUERTO RICO, OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES, AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Contest Entities from any injury, loss, death, damage, action, claim, demand or other liability that may occur from entrant's participation in this Contest or from the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize awarded, or attendance at any event. Selfies Idol LLC reserves the right, and will verify eligibility qualifications of any winner.
III. CONTEST ENTRY FEE
No purchase necessary for entry. ENTRANTS ARE ONLY ELIGIBLE TO WIN IN ONE CATEGORY.
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the contest if fewer than 500 entries are received. Sponsor reserves the right to accept fewer than 500 entries.
IV. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Selfies Idol Pilot Contest will be launched on November 25th, 2015 to introduce Selfies Idol to the Nation. Submission of entries commences on November 29th at 03:00 a.m. Central Standard Time. Submission of entries ends on January 1st, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. All entries received or postmarked after the entry date will be returned unless the deadline is postponed. The contest ends on January 1st, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. The winners will be announced on January 2nd, 2016 on selfiesidol.com.
Entrants can submit selfies or “usies” in 12 (twelve) categories. All entrants may submit one photo in each category. ENTRANTS ARE ONLY ELIGIBLE TO WIN IN ONE CATEGORY.
The deadline for online submissions is December 10th, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. One (1) Grand prizewinner and Two (2) runners-up will be announced on January 2nd, 2015 on selfiesidol.com. The Grand Prize winner will be awarded a prize of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00), the Second and Third place winners will each be awarded a prize of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00).
V. HOW TO ENTER.
Entries can be made via selfiesidol.com or by US MAIL. Entries made via US MAIL must be sent to Selfies Idol LLC. P.O. BOX 840013, Houston, Texas 77284. Entries submitted by US Mail MUST BE POSTMARKED ON OR BEFORE DECEMBER 17TH, 2015. If submitting by US Mail, Entrants must include their return address, email address, if available, and telephone number. Selfies Idol LLC and its Entities are not responsible for any lost, damaged, mutilated, or misdirected entries under any circumstances. Please keep a copy of your submission.
All photographs submitted, as part of the Contest shall become the property of Selfies Idol LLC. The submission shall constitute an assignment of the copyright and all other rights to the entry. Contest Entities assume no responsibility for any computer, telephone, cable, network, satellite, electronic or Internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections, availability, or garbled or jumbled transmissions, or service provider/Internet/website/use net accessibility or availability, traffic congestion, or unauthorized human intervention. Selfies Idol LLC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest in whole or in part by giving such notice, in any form and manner deemed appropriate by Selfies Idol LLC.
VI. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Eligible entries must be received via Selfiesidol.com or US Mail as described above. Entries can either be a Selfie (A self-taken photograph with one person) or a “Usie” (a self-taken group photo with more than one person). “Usies” are limited to Three (3 persons in the photograph). Entrants can submit selfies or “usies” in 12 (twelve) categories. All entrants may submit one photo in each category. ENTRANTS ARE ONLY ELIGIBLE TO WIN IN ONE CATEGORY.
Incomplete entries may be declared void. Selfies Idol LLC reserves the right to remove any submissions it deems as inappropriate. By entering, Entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements. To enter, your computer must accept cookies, or any successor or similar technology (now known or hereafter devised or discovered), which may be used by Selfies Idol LLC for the purposes of entry tracking and as set forth in Selfies Idol on-line privacy policy, which can be found at www. Selfiesidol.com. Selfies Idol LLC is not responsible or liable for lost, stolen, mutilated, incomplete, incorrect, delayed, late, interrupted, illegible or misdirected entries, under any circumstances. Please keep a copy of your entry. All entries become the property of Selfies Idol LLC and will not be returned.
VII. JUDGES
A panel of 5 judges (“The Judges”) will determine the contestants who will advance to the Second Round (2). The names of the judges will not be released except as required by law. The votes of the general public will be used to determine the contestants who will advance to the Third Round, and the Grand Prize and Two Runners up.
VIII. JUDGING CRITERIA
Entries will be judged on CREATIVITY, SWAG, UNIQUENESS, ORIGINALITY, STYLE, QUALITY, and POPULARITY. THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER AND TWO (2) RUNNERS UP WILL BE SELECTED BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY VOTE CONSIDERING CREATIVITY, SWAG, UNIQUENESS, ORIGINALITY, STYLE, and QUALITY.
The winners will be selected from all eligible entries based on the criteria listed above and process outlined below. The CONTEST shall consist of THREE (3) Rounds. Entrants who advance to the Second (2nd) round will be required to submit Two (2) new selfies or “usies” by December 16th, 2015. In the event, an “Usie” is selected to advance to the Second (2nd) round, the subjects of the photographs submitted for second round must be the same as the subjects submitted in the 1st round.

All rounds of the competition will be judged based on the same criteria.
First Round
Judging for the First (1st) Round begins on December 22nd, 2015, at 12:00 a.m. Central Time, and ends on December 26th, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.

During the first round, all eligible entries will be judged by the Judges based seven criterion: CREATIVITY, SWAG, UNIQUENESS, ORIGINALITY, STYLE, QUALITY, and POPULARITY. Entrants can earn up to 10 points for each of the seven criteria (10 being best). The maximum amount of points totaling 70.

Voting for the Finale begins on December 30th 2015 at 12:00 p.m. Central Time and ends on January 1st, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.

IX. PRIZES:
The Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00). Two (2) runners up will each receive a prize of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00). In the event a “Usie” (a self-taken group photo with more than one person) is selected as a winner, only one prize will be awarded for the entry to the person who submitted the photograph.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners within (14) business days of the Contest End Date via Cashiers Check, provided that after the announcement the entrant certifies and establishes to the Sponsor’s satisfaction that they are the owners of the photograph entry and that they have complied with these official rules and signed all necessary Releases and other forms as determined by the Sponsor.
The winners will be announced on January 2nd, 2016 on selfiesidol.com.
Winners will be contacted via telephone call and email.
In the event an entry is deemed invalid, or the winner or runner up is unable to claim a prizes; the judges will award the prize to the entry to next highest score.
Any federal and state taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the Winners. No substitution or transfer of prizes permitted, except at the sole discretion of Selfies Idol LLC. All prizes will be awarded.
X. GENERAL CONDITIONS
The Winners will be required to sign and return any applicable documents sent by Selfies Idol LLC related to the Contest, which may include but are not limited to a letter of prize acceptance, waiver of liability, and an affidavit of eligibility within three (3) days of notification. Failure to return documents as specified or if prize notification is returned as undeliverable will result in entry being disqualified, and an alternate Winner being selected from eligible entries previously received. Where permitted by law, Winner (except in the case of a minor) agrees to grant to Selfies Idol LLC and its licensees, affiliates, agents, representatives and assigns, the right to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide, in any media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the world wide web, at any time or times, the Winner's name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness and biographical information as news or information and for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration; and further without such additional compensation, appear for, or provide biographical information for use in, any presentation or other activity which may include filming/audio/video/electronic or other recordings and/or interviews as may be determined by Selfies Idol LLC. Failure to make such appearances or grant such rights may result in disqualification with an alternate Winner or potential Winner selected from eligible entries previously received and in accordance with these Official Rules; and while not obligated to do so, Selfies Idol LLC will bear the reasonable costs and expenses which Selfies Idol LLC in its sole discretion, deems appropriate for Winners or potential Winners to appear for a presentation or other activity. Further, by accepting a prize, Winner agrees to release and hold harmless Selfies Idol LLC, its agents, representatives, licensees, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind to person, including death, and property arising whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize, participation in any Contest-related activity, or participation in this Contest. Selfies Idol LLC reserves the right, at Selfies Idol’s sole discretion, to disqualify any individual Selfies Idol finds, in Selfie’s sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or web site; to be in violation of the terms of service of the Contest Entities' web site; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any use of robotic, automatic, macro, programmed, or like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods.
XI. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
Selfies Idol LLC will not sell, rent or otherwise transfer this information to any third party, nor will Selfies Idol LLC use this information for marketing purposes without your consent. As stated above, the contest is not open to Minors under the age majority in their state of residence without the express consent of a parent or legal guardian. In the event that you are under the age of thirteen (13) years and submit entries to Selfies Idol LLC, Selfies Idol will delete, erase or destroy any and all personally identifiable information that is obtained from the entries following the conclusion of the Contest. XII. ARBITRATION & CHOICE OF LAW
Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in this Contest, Entrants agree that (1) any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action lawsuit, and exclusively by final and binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association and held at the AAA regional office in Houston, Harris County, Texas; (2) the Federal Arbitration Act shall govern the interpretation, enforcement and all proceedings at such arbitration; and (3) judgment upon such arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. Under no circumstances will contestant be permitted to obtain awards for, and contestant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than contestant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with entering this Contest), and contestant (or, if an eligible minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of Entrants and Sponsor in connection with this Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of Texas without regard to Texas choice of law rules.
